In a city as large as Jacksonville, getting to in-depth care can be its own hurdle. As a Florida-licensed psychologist and certified psychoanalyst, I work with adults across Northeast Florida by video — serious depth work, without the drive across town.
Schedule a ConsultationJacksonville is geographically the largest city in the contiguous United States, and that scale shapes life here. Neighborhoods sprawl from the Beaches to Mandarin to the Westside; a strong military and veteran presence anchors the region around NAS Jacksonville and Mayport; and many residents juggle long drives, demanding jobs, and family obligations across a metro that can take an hour to cross. Finding in-depth, depth-oriented mental health care in all of that can feel like one more thing there's no time for.
I offer individual psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for adults — work that goes beneath symptom management to the patterns and experiences underneath. My practice is grounded in contemporary relational psychoanalysis and intersubjective systems theory, with an attachment-theory influence.
In a city this large, the commute to a weekly appointment is a real barrier. Video erases it. Whether you're near the Beaches, in Riverside, San Marco, or out toward Orange Park, you can do serious analytic work from a private space at home — no driving across town, no parking decks, no waiting room. That convenience is often what makes consistent, longer-term work actually possible.
Telehealth also broadens access in a region where depth-oriented psychoanalytic practitioners are not easy to find. You can work with a clinician whose training and approach fit what you're looking for, rather than settling for proximity.
With a large military and first-responder community, Northeast Florida holds many people living with the after-effects of high-stress and traumatic experience — work I know well from decades that include crisis and critical-incident settings. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and attachment concerns, and neurodiversity, and I also work with grief and loss and life transitions.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Florida (PY6593) and a Certified Psychoanalyst with more than three decades of experience. I completed eight years of post-doctoral psychoanalytic training and am a founding faculty member of the Tampa Bay Institute for Psychoanalytic Studies. Earlier in my career I worked extensively in crisis and trauma settings — including critical-incident work with police and fire personnel — experience that informs how I sit with people carrying heavy histories. You can read more about my background, the services I offer, or how online therapy works.
For a confidential consultation, call or email directly. I'll answer your questions and, if it's a good fit, we'll schedule a first session.
